It may sound good from a fresher perspective looking for an IIT tag but whats gurantee that IITs will hold its credibility in due course in a situtaution where a no. of IITs have mushroomed recently. It is important to consider the contribution that the institute has made in the field of mining and its allied branches. it has helped the nation from producing good leaders to the formation of reputed organisations ONGC, CIMFR and CIL. Thus it is totally correct to give ISM university the title of IIT. The letter requesting for the conversion of ISM university into an IIT is an admirable effort.
